The Magdeburger plays the drums already since he was five years old. Especially musicians of this musical instrument suffers often under hear-damages – like Gustavs`s idol Lars Ulrich (Metallica) or Bela B. from “Die Ärzteâ€.
Does the Tokio Hotel-drummer underestimates the illness?
The noise, that can people make also psychical ill in extreme cases, is a warning signal of the body, that cannot bear the stress and needs relaxation.
Didn`t Gustav get medical care? The musician to VIVA-BamS: “ I have no time to go to a doctor. And I don`t know, whenever I will have time for let that heal. It won`t become better anyway.†Gustav shrugs his shoulders.
An opinion, for that Prof. Eckart Altenmüller from the musician-medicine institute in Hannover warns:†A Tinnitus at such a young age is unusual. I have the urgent advice for the young man to make a break. If the noise pollution will stay on constantly, then a chronical illness can be caused with permantly torment earnoise.â€
A noisebreak between some weeks and some months can give the inner ear the time for recovery.
